Using the Hack Stop SCH 40 Depth Gauge

The Hack Stop Depth Gauge is designed to help you quickly set the blade depth for cutting PVC conduit when using the Hack Stop or the MultiStop tools. Each slot is labeled with the corresponding conduit size and is machined to the nominal wall thickness specified by PVC conduit manufacturers.Slide the blade into the notch, allowing the blade to fully seat in the slot, then push the depth stop flush against the gauge. The Depth Gauge is a quick AID for setting the depth for the correct wall thickness. 

Important Information

PVC conduit wall thickness can vary slightly due to manufacturing tolerances. As a result, the actual wall thickness of a piece of conduit may be slightly thicker or thinner than its published nominal specification.
